Brass bird cage

Miniature brass birdcage on stand, 5 & 1/4". The cage itself is 1 & 3/8" high. Can you open it up to insert a birdie? It looks like you can use tweezers or fine nosed pliers to pull back the little bits of wire that hold the door shut, closeup shown here.
